I was looking for something counterintuitive to make out of stone, and settled for one of the first CNC project on the classic childrens toy of a bird that can be balanced on a vinger. The trick to the design is that the center of gravity is below the beak of the bird.
The only existing designs I could find are for 3d printing, which wouldn’t work for me, so I designed this one from scratch. The machining was done on a cheap 3018 pro cnc.
